Desk Workers
You were not injured playing sport. You have not had a fall or an accident. But somewhere between the commute, the long hours at your desk, and the end of another working week, your neck, back, or shoulders have started to make themselves known in a way you can no longer ignore.
If that sounds familiar, you are far from alone. Desk-based work is one of the most common contributors to musculoskeletal pain we see at Prime Sports Physiotherapy. Sitting for prolonged periods, working at poorly set up workstations, and carrying the physical tension of a demanding job takes a real toll on the body over time. The good news is that with the right assessment and treatment, it is very rarely something you simply have to put up with.
Our physiotherapists are experienced in assessing and treating the neck pain, back pain, shoulder tension, headaches, and postural problems that desk workers commonly experience. We will identify what is driving your symptoms, provide hands-on treatment to relieve pain and restore movement, and give you a practical plan that fits around your working life. This includes advice on workstation setup, posture, and movement habits, but also a wider look at your activity across the week, because sometimes small, realistic changes to how you move, rest, and exercise day to day can make a surprisingly big difference to how you feel. We will work with you to find those changes and make them stick, without overhauling your entire routine.
Beyond treating the immediate problem, we can also help you build the strength and resilience to stop it coming back. Whether that is through one-to-one physio-led strength and conditioning, Pilates, yoga or our gym-based classes, we have everything you need to feel better and stay that way.
No referral needed. Just get in touch and we will take it from there.
